This chapter describes the proposal to name the new air traffic control tower at Memphis International Airport after Phoebe Fairgrave Omlie; the passage of H.R. 3072, “a bill to designate the control tower at Memphis International Airport the Omlie Tower”; and Phoebe’s official induction into the Tennessee Aviation Hall of Fame in 2008.
