This chapter explores the return of Grant Morrison to the conventional comic book writing for the DC Comics superheroes. In 2005, Morrison released Seven Soldiers, a project that aims to revive several obscure DC characters. It also aimed to reinvent one of the most formulaic modes in storytelling in comics; the multi-title crossover narratives. The Seven Soldiers series created an entire continuity unto itself, creating a crossover setting into itself.
