This chapter describes Webber’s travels abroad, which include his trips to London to protest the proposed changes in British Guiana’s constitution. Webber wrote nine sketches about his visits, called “From an Editorial View-Point,” which were published in the New Daily Chronicle from February 19 through June 20, 1928. These sketches discussed his impressions of Trinidad, Barbados, London, and Jamaica. The chapter also details Webber’s essays about New York City, which he visited in November 1928; after which he sailed to St. Thomas, then to St. Croix, to St. Kitts, Dominica, Guadeloupe, and Martinique.
