This chapter describes events from 1979 to 1982. These include the start of the Trans Urban News Service’s publication of TNS Reports in 1981; the return of Andy Cooper’s “One Man’s Opinion” column; the Trans Urban News Service’s receipt of a $50,000 grant from the Greater New York Fund and United Way Special Allocations Committee; and Cooper’s receipt of the D. Parke Gibson Journalism Award from the New York chapter of the Public Relations Society of America in October 1982.
