This chapter sums up the key findings of this study of Joe Davis’s career in the music industry and highlights the role of Davis in creating an industry that he would barely recognize today. It also suggests that the twenty-first century provides us with similar fundamental shifts in business practices and technology, just like the highly volatile and rapidly changing world faced by Davis as he slipped away from the music business in the 1960s.
